My Favorite Media

I have spent quite a bit of time living in North America. These are the media sources I think are really worth your time amongst ton of junk that’s out there. Of course there is a lot more, but I really like these US and Canadian outlets:

Print
WSJ (worth paying for, but good free stuff too, especially on your cell)
NY Times (classic…)

Podcasts and Radio:
Fresh Air (good guests, uninterupted talk for most part)
Talk of the Nation (good program about current topics in the US)
Market Place (they talked before crisis of 2008/09 before anyone else did)
The Current (good program about current affairs from Canada’s CBC)
Q (good arts & culture program from Canada)
Car Talk (if you really like cars :) and solving problems and having a laugh, maybe it’s just me but I like this one)

TV:
The National (probably the best nightly newscastin North America)
Frontline (some of the best docs anywhere)

I think you missed one of my favorite podcasts: Radio Lab, produced by WNYC. It is distributed by NPR. Check it out; it is truly a Radio Lab… and look for a podcast called “The War of the Worlds.” Fascinating.

    Julian.

I get my real news from No Agenda. I prefer that to the ones you mentioned.

Drudgereport.com links to all streams of news- how does it have an agenda? I see where you get you’re news from the NYTimes (wall street propagana- always inaccurate) and CBC- a government mouthpeice drone- wow you do have you head up your an.us
